Credit Cards

Instant-Shop can handle credit card payments in a number of ways either accepting them for manual processing, handing them off to a credit card clearing agency or not accepting them at all.

To change the appearance select 'Credit Cards' on the 'Options' menu from the Product Database screen.

This page is also part of the setup wizard.

Credit Cards Orders Are

Choose the credit card payment method reflects how you want to handle credit card payments.

Options are:

Required: Instant-Shop will take the credit card details and the credit card number must be entered. This is the default.
Optional: Instant-Shop will take the credit card details but the credit card number is optional.
Not Accepted: Instant-Shop will not take the credit card details at all.
Handled By...: Instant-Shop will not take the credit card details itself, instead it will go to the credit card clearing company to take the payment. You must have an account set up with the selected credit card clearing company. Pro Users only.

Credit Cards Accepted

Tick the range of credit cards that you accept. By default all credit card types are selected.

If you tick Switch then Instant-Shop will automatically adapt the credit card fields on the web site to take the extra fields demanded by Switch.

Unselecting all the credit card types will set Instant-Shop to not accept credit cards. If your credit cards were not accepted and you select a credit card type then Instant-Shop will start accepting credit cards again.

Don't Request Credit Card V-Code

The credit card companies have introduced a new security mechanism called the V-Code. The V-Code is a 3 digit number on the back of each card. It is highly recommended that you leave this option selected, but it can be removed if you are sure you don't need it.
